Strozzapreti is one of my favourite types of pasta but it's very difficult to get hold of in England so my Dad brought some back on a recent trip to Italy, giving me a chance to make a new recipe to use them in.
Strozzapreti is Italian for priest chocker, it isn't known exactly where the name originated from but there are a few different stories. One is that the pasta is so tasty that greedy priests would eat them so quickly that they chocked, another refers to the way in which the pasta is made, an action similar to chocking.
I made a simply tomato sauce with a little kick along with spinach and goats cheese.
