Elderflower Pana Cotta

 Spring means that there's loads of elderflower around. I went and picked some a few days ago and made an elderflower and vanilla pana cotta. It was accompanied by elderflower cordial that my mum had made from freshly picked elderflowers. It's a great, refreshing dessert for spring and summer.

Last week, my sister's boyfriend came from Morocco to stay with us. As it was the first time he'd been to England, I made him a welcome cake. I only had 2 days and the contents of our cupboards to come up with and make it. Here's what I made...

Willsy's Wedding Cake

If you ask my friends, they'll tell you that after the Royal Wedding I went from being pretty anti the Royal family to loving them.

Prince William asked for a broken biscuit wedding cake as it's a favourite of his, I remember making it with my brother and sister when I was little so I dug the old recipe out, changed it a bit and made my own version.... I'll admit, it's not quite as grand as Kate and William's.

Welcome Home Cake

One of my sister's close friends has been travelling for 7months and came home recently so I made a welcome home cake for her. I cut the UK out of icing and painted it with green food colouring as I didn't have green icing. I really like the effect the dye makes though.
